Dr. Ken Lawrence
Dr Ken Lawrence was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his BSc in Agriculture in 1980. Dr. Lawrence earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 1984 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he moved to Alberta where he worked in a mixed animal practice in Spruce Grove. After two years, he moved to Vegreville and assumed ownership of the Vegreville Veterinary Clinic. Dr Lawrence enjoys the diversity that veterinary medicine provides, whether it is a small animal medical case or a large animal calving. Away from the clinic, Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Dr. Josh Lawrence
Dr. Josh Lawrence was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and grew up in Vegreville. He attended the University of Alberta where he received his BSc in Agriculture. After graduation, he attended the Veterinary Program at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his DVM in 2008. He moved back to his hometown to work with his father in the family practice. In 2011, Dr Josh became a partner of the Vegreville Veterinary Clinic. Away from the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, coaching his children’s sports teams, playing hockey and visiting the lake during the summer months.

Dr. Daralyn Wiles
Dr. Daralyn Wiles was born and raised in Ogema, Saskatchewan on a mixed farm. She attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon where she received her DVM in 2007. After graduation, she worked at the Deep South Animal Clinic in Ogema, Saskatchewan. In 2008, Dr. Wiles moved to Alberta to join the team at the Vegreville Veterinary Clinic. She became a partner of the practice in 2011. Dr. Wiles balances her work at the clinic with the care of her three children; Colten, Broden and Bronwyn. Away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time in Saskatchewan with her family, and shuttling her children to their various activities.

Dr. Gracyn Johnson
Gracyn was raised in rural southern Saskatchewan on a cow calf ranch. She always had a passion for animals right from a young age, she especially enjoys large animals and all aspects of livestock production. She began her education at Lethbridge College where she obtained her animal science Degree. She then pursued her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the WCVM in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. During her studies, Gracyn was the recipient of the Saskatchewan Beef Industry Conference Scholarship and the Dr. Scott Rairdan Memorial Award for bovine reproduction. She graduated in the spring of 2020 and practiced in rural east central Alberta before joining the Vegreville Veterinary Clinic in the summer of 2021. Gracyn lives on an acreage near Holden, Alberta with her husband and handful of animals. She has always appreciated rural community living and is eager to become involved within the local communities. Gracyn loves the variety rural mixed practice has to offer and is looking forward to meeting clients and patients.
Veterinary Technicians

Anne Onyshack
Anne graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Lakeland College in 2009. She worked briefly in her hometown of Fort McMurray before moving to Vegreville that year. Anne lives with her husband Craig on their acreage outside of Vegreville. Away from the clinic, she keeps busy with her two dogs, five cats, cattle and horses.

Christine Belanger
Christine grew up on a mixed animal farm in the Two Hills area. Animals have always been a passion for Christine, so she pursued her career as a veterinary technician. She graduated from Lakeland College in 2010 and worked in a small animal clinic for four years before joining our team at the Vegreville Veterinary Clinic in 2015. In her spare time, Christine enjoys going on adventures with her fiancé, Sean, crocheting, reading, walking her two Australian shepherds; Halo and Lady, and watching movies with her seven cats – Chewie, Vador, Seven, Demspter, Pumpkin, Chaplin and Peiking Cat.

Heather Rempel
Heather grew up on a beef farm south west of Holden, Alberta. Cattle have always big part of her life, whether it was helping on the farm or through her participation in 4H with the Holden Beef Club. Heather attended the Veterinary Technician program at Lakeland College, graduating in 2015. Heather has one cat Phoebe, and three dogs, Winnie, Tala and Kaiah. In her spare time Heather enjoys drawing and outdoor activities.
Clinic Support

Deb Lawrence, Office Manager
Deb was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She moved to Vegreville with her husband, Dr. Ken Lawrence, in 1984. Deb has always been an active part of the Vegreville Veterinary Clinic, but she officially joined the team as Office Manager in 2003. Away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, dabbling in renovation projects, spending summers at the lake and travelling.
